The trade between India and Mexico exceeded US$ 10 billion in 2018 and Mexico became the main trading partner of India in Latin America. The trade increased from US$ 6.4 billion to US$ 10.16 billion in 2018, when 10 years ago, India was not even among the 20 main trading partners of Mexico. The ambassador of India in Mexico, Muktesh Pardeshi, said that the Indian companies prefer Mexico as an important destination of investment with access to Latin America.
