As part of an official visit, government delegations from Argentina and the Republic of Korea held an expanded bilateral working meeting at Casa Rosada. Led by Presidents Javier Milei and Lee Jae-myung alongside their respective cabinet ministers, the meeting focused on consolidating economic and trade ties between both nations.
During the session, officials discussed opportunities for complementarity in key sectors such as energy, food, and critical minerals—which are essential for the global energy transition. Furthermore, the South Korean delegation highlighted Argentina’s recent macroeconomic stabilization efforts and its new incentive frameworks designed to attract large-scale strategic investments.
Another central topic was the development of artificial intelligence and information technology as drivers of economic growth. Both countries agreed to enhance cooperation in knowledge-based services and cultural industries, reaffirming their commitment to expanding the agenda for bilateral integration between Latin America and the Asia-Pacific.
