The President of the Republic of Panama, José Raúl Mulino, who is currently visiting Vietnam, met on October 7 with the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Tran Thanh Man.
Tran Thanh Man noted that the National Assembly of Vietnam will facilitate the implementation of bilateral agreements and contribute to resolve any legal obstacles that may arise. He also emphasized that, although Panama and Vietnam maintain good economic and trade relations, there is still ample room to deepen cooperation.
President Mulino emphasized the importance of strengthening ties with the National Assembly of Vietnam and noted that the two countries have about ten agreements whose implementation must be accelerated. He also announced that, upon his return to Panama, he will establish a timeline for implementing the agreements in areas such as agriculture, maritime affairs, and security.
