On December 30, 2025, Argentina and Australia celebrate the 26th anniversary of the entry into force of the Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion, which was signed on August 27, 1999.
This agreement applies to taxes on income, and to the rental of resources from offshore projects dedicated to the exploration or exploitation of petroleum resources in Australia, while in Argentina, it covers the income tax.
With regard to trade in goods over the last decade, exports from Brazil to Korea declined from USD 610 million in 2015 to USD 535.9 million in 2024, while imports increased from USD 268.1 million to USD 394.2 million over the same period. Throughout the period, bilateral trade continued to record a surplus for Argentina.
