Mexico will request for Malaysia, Chile, Peru, and Brunei to put into effect the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). The CPTPP, which reduces and eliminates the tariff and non-tariff barriers of goods, services, and agriculture, entered upon the phase of the trade agreements in a moment of uncertainty in the global trading system and prior to the trade war in progress between the United States and China.
