Argentina’s bilateral trade with China occupies a significant share of the country’s exchanges with the Asia-Pacific region

Argentina maintained investment and tax agreements with China, while bilateral trade played a significant role in exchanges with the Asia-Pacific region.

According to the average of the years 2021-2024, Argentina’s exports to China accounted for 31.7% of the total to the Asia-Pacific. The value of products sent to China rose from USD 5.1 billion in 2015 to USD 5.9 billion in 2024, showing growth, with the main products being boneless beef and soybeans.

On the other hand, imports accounted for an even greater share, representing 64.8% of the total in the same period. This reflected a volume higher than that of exports, with values rising from USD 11 billion in 2015 to USD 11.6 billion in 2024. The main imported products were automobiles and machinery components, which showed greater diversification compared to exports.
