The exportation to China, principal trade partner, decreased by 16% in January of 2020 because of the reduction of the sales of two important products, copper and fish meal, the former affected by the reduction of the exportation volume and the latter by the diminished availability of prime material (anchovy). However, the exportation of products like iron (+33%) and zinc (+27%) increased. Nevertheless, the exportation of non-traditional agricultural, livestock and fishing, in January, achieved growth of 4.3% and 3.8% respectively, according to the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru.
