The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay, Rodolfo Nin Novoa, highlighted the importance of the trade relations between Uruguay and China, a country that is the main trade partner within the framework of the visit of the Vice-Premier of China, Hu Chunhua, to Uruguay. He considered that this kind of instance is fundamental to deepen the relations between both countries. On trade matters, he stated that apart from working on trade agreements and tariff reductions, there is a need to conclude agreements on phytosanitary matters that are fundamental in order to assure the market access.
