On October 9, the Embassy of El Salvador in Singapore organized the NATAS Connect El Salvador 2026 forum in collaboration with the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS). The event aimed to strengthen El Salvador’s international positioning and generate new opportunities for the country’s tourism sector.
El Salvador’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adriana Mira, who participated virtually, noted that in 2025 the country received 4.1 million international visitors and generated more than $3.6 billion in tourism revenue. She also emphasized the need to strengthen international cooperation to increase visitor arrivals and facilitate access to new markets for national tourism companies.
The forum was attended by 42 representatives from tourism companies, airlines, and hotel associations in Singapore and other Southeast Asian countries. Participants expressed interest in establishing cooperative ties with Salvadoran tourism companies and explored possibilities for developing and marketing tourism packages tailored to the preferences of travelers in their markets.
