ALADI Exports to Asia-Pacific Maintain Strong Concentration in Minerals, Energy, and Agribusiness

Foreign trade between the member countries of the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI) and the Asia-Pacific region continues to reflect a marked productive complementarity. According to data for the 2023-2025 period—including preliminary figures for 2025—regional exports maintain a strong orientation toward primary products and intermediate goods linked to strategic sectors.

The main export category from ALADI to the Asia-Pacific corresponds to Minerals and Metallurgy, followed by Seeds and Oilseeds, and Petroleum and Fuels. Additionally, other relevant sectors such as Copper, Cereals, and Animal Feed stand out, evidencing the importance of the Latin American region as a supplier of raw materials, industrial inputs, and products linked to food security for Asian economies.

The composition of the export basket reflects the high demand from the Asia-Pacific for natural resources and agro-industrial goods from Latin America, within a context of increasing birregional economic integration and the expansion of global supply chains.
