Panama and Vietnam commemorate 9 years of their agreement to avoid double taxation

On February 14, 2026, Panama and Vietnam commemorate nine years since the entry into force of the Agreement to Avoid Double Taxation and Prevent Tax Evasion.

The agreement establishes the coverage of income taxes applicable in both countries. In the case of Vietnam, it includes personal income tax and corporate income tax, while for Panama, it covers income tax on both individuals and legal entities.

This instrument is part of the process of consolidating relations between the two countries, which in 2025 commemorated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Panama and Vietnam.
