The initiative of the Strip and the Route, proposed by China in 2013 has become an opportunity to encourage the development of Ecuador in connectivity and infrastructure. The Chinese companies execute a project of four major infrastructure constructions in the provinces of Pacific, affected by the earthquake in 2016. In Manta, the reconstruction of the international airport is treated to revitalize the tourism and the trade with Asian countries.
