In the period of 2021-2024, Argentina’s trade with the Asia-Pacific region reached an average annual value of USD 41.28 billion, which accounted for 28.16% of the total trade of Argentina with the world. The exports of Argentina to the said region stood at USD 19.8 billion, representing 25.4% of the total amount, while the imports totaled around USD 21.4 billion, which was 31.3% of the total.
In the same period, Argentina’s main export markets to the Asia-Pacific region were China (31.7%), India (19.1%), Vietnam (14.9%), Indonesia (7.9%), Malaysia (7%), Japan (3.1%) and Australia (2.9%), which took up more than 85% of the total export value.
On the other hand, China (64.8%), Thailand (7.9%), India (6.8%) and Japan (5.5%) were the main suppliers for Argentina in the Asian region. These 4 countries represented 85.1% of the products that Argentina bought from the Asia-Pacific market during the period mentioned above.
