On November 4, 2025, the open conference “Korean Culture and Bilateral Relations with Uruguay” will take place, organized by the Institute of International Business of the Catholic University of Uruguay. The event will feature Mr. Noh Wonil, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Uruguay, as the speaker. Participation is in person and free of charge.
In 2024, trade in goods between the Republic of Korea and Uruguay reached USD 165 billion, showing a trade surplus for Uruguay. In the same year, Uruguay’s exports to Korea totaled USD 153 billion, with the main exported products being medium oils and parts and accessories for tractors. Meanwhile, imports amounted to USD 11 billion, with corn and boneless beef being the main Korean products imported by Uruguay in 2024.
