Thanks to the phytosanitary agreement that the government of Peru and China signed in July, Peru will be able to export its chinchona to the Chinese market. The entrance of the Chinese market will benefit approximately 20,000 Peruvian chinchona producers.

Brazil secured new market openings for agricultural products in New Zealand and Turkey, expanding its international insertion. The agreements reflect the growing role of sanitary negotiation in the expansion of trade between Latin America and other regions, including the Asia-Pacific.
