The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Argentina confirmed that the Department of Agriculture of Thailand reported in the official bulletin the necessary phytosanitary conditions for the importation of grapes and cherries, which enables Argentina to export those fruits to the Asian country. During the past year, Thailand imported USD867 million in fruits, of which USD148 million were fresh grapes and USD16 million of cherries, whereby the opening of the market of Thailand represents an interesting opportunity for fruits of Argentina.

Brazil secured new market openings for agricultural products in New Zealand and Turkey, expanding its international insertion. The agreements reflect the growing role of sanitary negotiation in the expansion of trade between Latin America and other regions, including the Asia-Pacific.
