Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement between the Republic of Chile and Japan

On 3 September 16 years of the entry into force of the Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement between the Republic of Chile and Japan were reached, which is the first trade agreement signed by the Asian country in South America. The agreement regulates the international trade in goods, services, and investments between both countries, including intellectual property, public procurement, competition policy, and improvement of the business environment. Regarding bilateral trade, it had a growth period after the entry into force of the Agreement though it subsequently began to slow down.
