Hoy la Secretaría del Foro de Cooperación Asia Pacífico (APEC) informó a las autoridades costarricenses su decisión de otorgarle al país la condición de Observador Invitado en el Grupo de Trabajo de Servicios. Este nuevo ingreso amplía la participación de Costa Rica en este Foro y se suma a la participación, que mantiene el país en los grupos de trabajo de Expertos en Inversión, Acceso a Mercados y Pequeña y Mediana Empresa, cuya renovación de status, para los dos últimos, fue también confirmada por la Secretaría.

Australia abre sus puertas con oportunidades
Con el objetivo de promover el conocimiento y vínculos educacionales el Gobierno de Australia ha abierto la convocatoria para las Becas AusAID “Australia Awards Scholarships” para Latinoamérica antes llamadas Becas Australianas para el Desarrollo de Latinoamérica. El nombre de las becas ha cambiado sin embargo la esencia de las becas es la misma.
ALADI y la República de Corea suscriben acuerdo de cooperación para pasantías en la Secretaría General
Con el propósito de incorporar pasantes provenientes de la República de Corea en las actividades de la Secretaría General, se firmó, el pasado 8 de febrero, un acuerdo de cooperación específico entre la Secretaría General de la Asociación Latinoamericana de Integración y la Embajada de la República de Corea en Uruguay, sobre la base del suscrito por ambas partes en 2003, en el que se busca el “Desarrollo de proyectos específicos en campos de interés común, realización de proyectos de cooperación técnica o contribución financiera, organización conjunta o coordinada de foros, conferencias, seminarios, ferias, etc., intercambio de información y de especialistas.”

Strengthening Bilateral Partnership, Indonesia-El Salvador Sign a Memorandum of Understanding
Indonesia and El Salvador signed an MoU on Bilateral Consultation to improve the partnership between the two countries. The MoU was signed by MOFA’s Director General for American and European Affairs, Dian Triansyah Djani, and the Deputy Foreign Minister of El Salvador for International Relationships, Carlos Castaneda. Ecuador y China firman acuerdo para evitar la Doble Tributación
El Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Comercio e Integración (E), Pablo Villagómez y el Jefe del Comisionado de la Administración Estatal de Impuestos, Xiao Jie, suscribieron oficialmente el Acuerdo de Doble Tributación entre Ecuador y China el lunes, en Quito.
