The talks were held in a cordial atmosphere and covered the entire range of bilateral relations including political, commercial, investment and technical cooperation.
Both sides acknowledged that the current level of their linkages, especially economic, did not reflect the true potential which held great promise.
They agreed to work closely to realize this potential and remove obstacles that stand in the way.
A number of new areas of possible cooperation were identified.
The two sides also exchanged views on issues of regional and international importance.
Shri Swaminathan also called on His Excellency Mr.
David Choquehuanca, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bolivia.
Leaders of both delegations expressed satisfaction at the successful holding of the 1st Foreign Office Consultations and agreed to convene the next round in New Delhi at a mutually convenient date.
