Sixteen and fourteen years after their entry into force, the agreements with China and Japan have consolidated China as Peru’s main trading partner and Japan as its second destination in trade with the Asia-Pacific region.

Reaching 20 years of its entry into force,the agreement to avoid double taxation enhanced legal certainty, promoted investment and established mechanisms for the exchange of tax information between the two countries.
